My conclusion is : kill a program is safe, but close an handle of a running program isn't and you can't predict the aftermath. Is this possible for inclusion on future release? sysinternals has excellent application called "Process Explorer" which has "close handle" feature, however it is more time consuming to use that one, I prefer the excellent and simple interface of WhoLockMe.
